Terms of use

Last updated 2 October 2026

Who we are

These terms are between you and Creative Syndicates Tech Ltd, company number 17003909, registered in England and Wales. We run myvalentine.to.

Registered office: Castle House, High Street, Ammanford, SA18 2NB, United Kingdom. Email: support@myvalentine.to. How we handle personal information is in our Privacy notice.

By using the site, creating an account or paying, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What the site offers

  • Free links. Make a Valentine link or a yes-or-no response link. You do not need an account. We may change or stop free features.
  • Free preview. Try the letter editor and preview a letter for free. Until you unlock and save, your draft stays in your browser. We do not keep a copy, so clearing your browser data or changing device can lose it.
  • Paid unlock. A one-time payment unlocks the letter editor for your account. It covers the letter occasions we offer in the editor, with photos, a voice note and a link you can share. You can make as many letters as you like for your own personal use. It is not a subscription.

The unlock lasts for as long as we run the paid editor, your account stays open and you follow these terms. It is for one person, so do not share your login. The price is shown before you pay, currently $3.99. We may change the price for future purchases. Any tax is shown at checkout.

You need to be 18 or older to create an account or pay. Use the site for personal use, not for business.

Payments

You pay through Stripe’s checkout. Stripe is the merchant of record, which means it is the seller named on your receipt: it takes your payment, works out and collects any tax, and sends your receipt. Stripe may appear as “Link” at checkout, on your receipt and on your card statement. Stripe’s consumer terms apply to your order. These terms apply to how you use the site and your letters.

The unlock starts as soon as your payment succeeds. For a question about a payment, receipt or tax, contact Stripe’s order support or email us. For anything about the editor or your letters, email us.

Refunds

The unlock is a one-time digital purchase that starts straight away, so payments are final. We do not refund because you changed your mind, because a letter did not get the answer you hoped for, or because the person you sent it to did not open it.

We will refund you if:

  • you were charged more than once for the same unlock;
  • you paid but the unlock did not start, and we cannot fix it;
  • a fault on our side stops you using the paid editor or sending a letter, and we cannot fix it within a reasonable time; or
  • the unlock is not as we described it.

We may also refund you in other cases, for example if:

  • the editor does not work on your device or browser, and we cannot find a fix;
  • someone paid with your details without your permission; or
  • you bought the unlock by mistake and tell us quickly, before you have sent a letter.

We look at each request on its own facts and reply by email. Please ask as soon as you can, because it gets harder to check what happened the longer you wait.

Your legal rights. None of this limits the rights you have by law. For example, consumers in the UK and the EU have a 14-day cooling-off period from when they get access to the unlock. To use it, contact Stripe’s order support and say “cooling off period”, or email us. Stripe’s own refund rules can also apply to your order.

How to ask. Email support@myvalentine.to from the address on your account and tell us what happened. For a problem on your device, include the device, the browser or app, and a screenshot if you can.

If we refund you. We refund to the payment method you used, through Stripe, and it can take a few days to show. A full refund ends your unlock: you will not be able to make or edit letters, and links you have already shared may stop working.

Your letters

You keep what you write, the photos you add, and any voice note you record. You let us store them and show them to anyone with the link. That permission ends when you delete them or close your account. You must have the right to upload them. If a photo shows someone else, make sure they are happy for you to share it. Record only your own voice, or a voice you have permission to use.

A link works for anyone who has it, and we cannot control who you share it with or whether they copy or screenshot it. Only put in a letter what you are happy for that person to read or hear. Check the names, dates and link before you send it. A voice note is only so they can hear you. We do not use it to identify a person.

Do not break the law, attack the site, use someone else’s account, or use a letter to harass or threaten someone. Do not upload anything that shows a person under 18 in a sexual way. We can remove a letter or close an account that breaks these terms, and we may report illegal content to the authorities.

To report a letter or link that breaks these terms, email support@myvalentine.to with the link and what is wrong. We will review it.

Our content

The site, its designs, templates, text, sounds and code belong to us or our licensors. You can use them to make your own letters. Do not copy, resell or scrape them, or use automated tools to make letters in bulk.

Devices, “as is” and getting help

We provide the site and the letters “as is” and “as available”. We take reasonable care to make them work on current phones, tablets and computers with up-to-date browsers. We cannot promise they will work on every device, browser, app or connection, or that they will always be available or free of errors.

Some things depend on your device, browser or settings, such as sound, voice recording, photos, animations and some payment methods. Some apps open links in their own browser, which can block sign-in or Apple Pay. If that happens, open the page in your phone’s main browser.

We make the link, but we do not send it. How and when it reaches the other person depends on the apps, networks and devices you both use, and link previews can look different in different apps. Open your link on your own phone before you rely on it for an important date.

If something does not work, email support@myvalentine.to before you give up. Tell us what you were doing, what happened, and your device and browser or app. A screenshot helps. We aim to reply within 7 to 14 working days and will try to fix it or suggest a way round it. If we cannot fix a problem with the paid editor, see Refunds. None of this affects the rights you have by law.

Our responsibility

Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not let us limit. It also does not affect your legal rights as a consumer.

Apart from that, we are responsible for loss that was a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or not taking reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss of profit, business or opportunity, because the site is for personal use. We are not responsible for what other people do with a link you share, or for delays or failures caused by things outside our control, such as the internet, messaging apps, payment providers or hosting.

Where the law allows, our total responsibility to you for anything connected with the paid unlock is limited to the amount you paid for it. For the free features, we are only responsible where the law says we must be.

Changes and ending

We may change the site, add or remove free features, or update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change matters to you as a paying user, we will email you before it starts.

You can stop using the site at any time. To close your account, email us. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we close the paid service altogether, we will tell you by email where we can and deal fairly with any refund.

Law

These terms use the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also use the courts where you live. If you are a consumer in another country, you keep the consumer protections where you live that we cannot remove.

Please email us first so we can try to sort things out. If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. Only you and we have rights under these terms.
